Organic to the Root - Organic Red Split Lentils soften on cooking and form a thick, soft purée. They are used in Indian cookery and are the basis of the popular spicy vegetarian dish, dhal. Red lentils add a delicious flavour as well as a smooth texture to soups and stews. Wash in cold water then boil in unsalted water for 20 to 30 minutes or until tender.
